DAL 20 AL 22 LUGLIO A MONDOVÌ (CUNEO)
Un grande, gioioso e variegato ecosistema artistico-culturale. L’Hybrid Festival, promosso e organizzato da Fondazione Cirko Vertigo, partner del progetto europeo Dialog City insieme a City of Aschaffenburg, Stadtarchiv Graz, Culturepolis, Quatorze, nell’ambito del programma dell’Unione Europea Creative Europe, invaderà la città e le strade di Mondovì, in provincia di Cuneo, dal 20 al 22 luglio, nel contesto di Piazza di Circo, kermesse organizzata dall’Associazione L’Albero del Macramè.
Il progetto Dialog City si propone di partire da un nuovo modo di pensare per rendere comprensibile e applicabile la trasformazione digitale. L’obiettivo è quindi quello di combinare gli spazi dedicati all’aggregazione sociale alla digitalizzazione urbana, nel rispetto dell’ambiente e delle politiche ecosostenibili. La cordata di cui Fondazione Cirko Vertigo è capofila nella sezione italiana di progetto, insieme ai partner italiani Comune di Mondovì, CFP CEMON e CIAC, coordinata da Federico Fazari,lavorerà in sinergia con i partner internazionali. Il Festival si articolerà tra workshop e un nuovo format di spettacolo, ideato dal coreografo Raffaele Irace, chiamato 24 Ore x 24 Minuti, in cui due danzatori, Marco Volta e Rosalie Wanka, si troveranno a condividere uno spazio scenico – in questo caso differenti location della città di Mondovì – per 24 ore, al termine delle quali dovranno presentare una performance della durata di almeno 24 minuti. Le iniziative saranno trasmesse in diretta streaming, tramite l’app blucinQue Nice e il sito di Fondazione Cirko Vertigo.
Durante i tre giorni di festival, oltre alla performance di 24 ore di danza, che coinvolgerà anche gli abitanti della città cuneese, sono in programma i Game Jam, laboratori partecipativi cui prenderà parte la cittadinanza, che saranno realizzati in parallelo e trasmessi in collegamento con la città di Aschaffenburg in Germania, partner capofila del progetto Dialog City.
Tre i workshop di danza e studio della performance in programma, definiti dal loro ideatore Raffaele Irace “esperienze”, della durata di circa due ore ciascuno. La prima esperienza sarà centrata sul concetto di scoperta, la seconda su quello di creazione, la terza e ultima sul concetto di composizione. I workshop saranno condotti dai danzatori e coreografi professionisti Daniela Paci, Cecilia Castellari e Davide Degano.
Durante il festival, infine, si assisterà alla restituzione pubblica della residenza artistica di Anne Fehres e Luke Conroy, duo multidisciplinare selezionato dal Dialog City Art for public residence programme. Anne e Luke per quattro settimane osserveranno la comunità locale di Mondovì ed entreranno in contatto e dialogo con essa attraverso specifiche attività di coinvolgimento. Il risultato della residenza artistica sarà una composizione fotografica su larga scala che verrà esposta al pubblico durante il Festival.
HYBRID FESTIVAL OF CIRKO VERTIGO FOUNDATION

A large, joyful and diverse artistic and cultural ecosystem. The Hybrid Festival, promoted and organised by Fondazione Cirko Vertigo, partner of the Dialog City european project with the City of Aschaffenburg, Stadtarchiv Graz, Culturepolis, Quatorze, within the framework of the European Union’s Creative Europe programme, will invade the city and streets of Mondovì, in the province of Cuneo, from 20 to 22 July, in the context of Piazza di Circo, a festival organised by L’Albero del Macramè Association.
The Dialog City project proposes to start from a new way of thinking in order to make digital transformation comprehensible and applicable. The aim is therefore to combine spaces dedicated to social aggregation with urban digitalisation, while respecting the environment and eco-sustainable policies. The team of which Cirko Vertigo Foundation is leader of the Italian section of the project, together with the Italian partners Municipality of Mondovì, CFP CEMON and CIAC, coordinated by Federico Fazari, will work in synergy with the international partners. The Festival will consist of workshops and a new performance format, devised by choreographer Raffaele Irace, called 24 Hours x 24 Minutes, in which two dancers, Marco Volta and Rosalie Wanka, will share a stage space – in this case different locations in the city of Mondovì – for 24 hours, at the end of which they will have to present a performance lasting at least 24 minutes. The performances will be streamed live, via the blucinQue Nice app and the Fondazione Cirko Vertigo website.
During the three days of the festival, in addition to the 24-hour dance performance, which will also involve the inhabitants of the city of Cuneo, there will be Game Jam, participatory workshops in which the citizens will take part, which will be realised in parallel and broadcast in connection with the city of Aschaffenburg in Germany, the leading partner of the Dialog City project.
Three dance and performance workshops are planned, defined by their creator Raffaele Irace as ‘experiences’, each lasting approximately two hours. The first experience will focus on the concept of discovery, the second on that of creation, the third and last on the concept of composition. The workshops will be led by professional dancers and choreographers Daniela Paci, Cecilia Castellari and Davide Degano.
Finally, during the festival, there will be the public return of the artistic residency of Anne Fehres and Luke Conroy, a multidisciplinary duo selected by the Dialog City Art for public residency programme. For four weeks, Anne and Luke will observe the local Mondovì community and enter into contact and dialogue with it through specific engagement activities. The result of the artistic residency will be a large-scale photographic composition that will be exhibited to the public during the Festival.
